Intentional Community-Stone Circle Community

In August of 2009, a group of people (including the people from Fern Haven Center) gathered to discuss the possibility of forming an Intentional Community. Since then we’ve met regularly and although some have decided that this is not what they want, the rest of us, who are seriously willing to work toward this way of life, remain. Since then we have created our parameters, set up an LLC legal structure and are now looking for others to join us.

Our Purpose/Inspiration

Stone Circle Community aims to become an intentional community based on a commitment to close cooperation and mutual support. We are seeking conscious ways of living that are earth-friendly and nurture personal and spiritual growth.

Vision (What’s most important to us): not necessarily in order of priority

To share a lifestyle with others who make personal and spiritual growth a priority
To live in an earth friendly, healthful, inspiring rural setting outside of city limits
To cooperate with others in endeavors that will make all of our lives more connected, supported and joyful
To share resources among members (and possibly with people outside the community)
To live in harmony with the environment, aiming to create sustainable living systems
To inspire and support creativity and play
To build community-based cottage industry or businesses in order to support community members and general CLC needs (property, etc.), financially
To actively contribute to the well-being of others outside the community
To explore community-based living as an alternative to isolation in our society
